Since 1998 Troop 111 has helped 33 Scouts attain the rank of Eagle Scout.

Eagle Scouts

Eagle Scout is the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting.

  • In 2013, 56,841 Scouts earned the Eagle Scout rank.
  • From 1912 to 2013, 2.3 million Boy Scouts earned the Eagle Scout rank.
  • Around 7 percent of all Boy Scouts earned the Eagle Scout rank in 2013.
  • In 2013, the average age of boys earning the Eagle Scout rank was 17 years of age.

Adam’s Eagle Project

Adam’s Project was a 16 foot long, 3 1/2 foot wide, and 39 inches tall bridge located at Ragged Mountain Natural Area in Charlottesville, VA.

 

Nov 25 – Life to Eagle Seminar

Troop 111 will host another “Life-to-Eagle” seminar for interested Life and Star Scouts and their parents during the weekly troop meeting on Tuesday November 25 in the church sanctuary. The seminar will cover the steps needed to complete the path from Life to Eagle, with emphasis on the Eagle project, and include this year’s updates to the Eagle requirements. If you are unable to make this seminar, contact Joe Hoeing for an alternate date.
