Court of Honor

WHERE: Grace Community Church – 5146 Dickerson Road – Charlottesville, VA 22911In the Boy Scouts of America a court of honor is a troop activity where scouts and their families come together to get their awards, and have a good time together. It is important for the scouts’ family members to be there for their scouts receiving his rank advancement, merit badges, and other awards.
Troop 111 will be sharing a meal, potluck style, before the ceremony. Families are asked to bring:
Last name starting with A-L: main dish, dessert, and drink (juice, tea, soda) to share.
Patrols assignments are below:

Life to Eagle
Troop 111 will host another “Life-to-Eagle” seminar, Oct. 20, for interested Life and Star Scouts and their parents during the weekly troop meeting in the church sanctuary. The seminar will cover the steps needed to complete the path from Life to Eagle, with emphasis on the Eagle project, and include this year’s updates to the Eagle requirements. If you are unable to make this seminar, contact Jim Funk for an alternate date. Click above link for more info.
Scouting for Food—Bags/ Hangers Out
Scouting for Food is an ongoing annual program of the Boy Scouts of America begun in 1985 that collects food for local food banks. It is a project rooted in the very foundation of the Scouting movement and its dedication to do an implement the Scout Slogan and do good turn daily. Please check the Troop calendar for dates and times.
2016 Planning Session
Troop Boy Leadership will be planning the next 16 months of activities. Scout if you have any suggestions for activities, please inform your partol leader ASAP. Adults with idea’s can pass them on to the SPL.
